Village organisations have agreed to organise a fireworks spectacular in Fillace Park for the third year running, in the hope of making it a permanent addition to the local events calendar.
The date will be Friday October 27 – last Friday of the autumn half-term holiday.
It has been organised so far by the football club, Horrabridge Rangers; the Recreation Fields Trust; and Horrabridge PTA. They have made a small profit on each occasion and this year they are teaming up with the Scouts to do it all bigger and better, with support once again from the parish council, Cavaliers and the London Inn.
Admission will be from 6 pm; fireworks starting at 7.30 pm.
Admission: £5 a family; £2 an adult; £1 for 18s and under.
Events will include barbecue and other refreshments, a Best Guy competition, sponsored by the London Inn, and a children’s fancy dress competition. More details later.
