The new owners of Grimstone Manor have introduced themselves – a couple moving down from Oxford way, with two boys and a small high-tech business they run from home.

They are Philippa Stephens, 37, originally from Plymouth and related around Tavistock area, and Lars Allers, 47 – an established couple, planning to get married, with boys aged 15 and 17.

They run Korvus Technology, a small business employing mainly themselves, supplying research materials and equipment in the field of electronics, mainly to universities.

Lars said today: “We are thrilled our offer was accepted and hope to have the keys by Christmas. Then there is quite a bit of work to do on the house and we want to get through that before we move, but we will be making it our home at some point. We both love Devon and want to get away from the London area.”

The house was withdrawn from auction on exchange of contracts at the offices of auctioneers Clive Emson. Local estate agents Mansbridge & Balment, Yelverton, made the introduction which led to the deal.
