* COUNCILLORS GIVE UP

Buckfastleigh Town Council has dissolved its planning committee, because the authorities running the consultations take no notice of it and the council feels it is misleading the public to go through the motions as if they might make a difference.

A council spokesman said that over the last two and a half years, every response made to Dartmoor National Park Authority, Teignbridge District Council and Devon County Council, had failed to influence the decisions – The Moorlander.
