Pub wars news – Mike Huda is negotiating to stay at the London Inn after his existing lease from Punch Taverns expires in November next year. The news of his decision was announced on Radio Walkham’s website this week. Meanwhile, the long-awaited opening date for the refurbished  Leaping Salmon bar rooms looks like being weekend starting August 17.

Wanted Man – Police are trying to locate a 35-year-old man who is wanted on recall to prison for breaching his release conditions.

Ashley Drake was sentenced for murder in September 2005 at Plymouth Crown Court and given a life sentence to serve a minimum of 12 years. He was released on license from HMP Dartmoor on Monday 16 July 2018.

Drake has links to Plymouth and Bristol.
He is described as around 5ft 2inch tall and of slim build with short dark hair.
